Privacy Policy

Our role

For your notebook Content you are the data controller; NextELN acts as a data processor that processes it to provide the Service. For BYODB/BYO-storage workspaces, your Content resides in your own provider account.

What we collect

• Account data: name, email, organization, country, role.
• Usage & billing data: plan, storage/traffic/AI usage, invoices (via Stripe), login timestamps.
• Operational metadata: workspace names, membership, sizes — used to run and bill the Service.
• Content: your notebook pages, tables, inventory and files — processed only to provide the Service.

Our data promise (legally binding)

We have no interest in, and do not access, view, read, or analyze your notebook Content — or that of any other user, team, or company. NextELN (a product of Excellgen, Inc.) makes this a binding commitment:

• The platform operator can see only aggregate statistics — membership counts, storage/traffic/AI usage totals, and billing — never your pages, tables, inventory, files, or any customer's data.
• This is enforced technically (per-workspace isolation in the application and at the database level via PostgreSQL row-level security; the operator is a member of no workspace) and contractually (this Section).
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use your Content to train AI models.

We consider unauthorized access to any customer's Content a material breach of these Terms.

Sub-processors

We rely on: Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (DNS/storage), Stripe (billing), Resend/Google Workspace (email), your chosen database/storage provider, and, if you enable AI, Anthropic and/or OpenAI. Each processes data only as needed for its function.

Security

Encryption in transit (TLS) and of sensitive secrets at rest (AES-256); per-workspace tenant isolation enforced in the application and at the database level (row-level security). See Data integrity & liability.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (GDPR/CCPA and similar), you may access, correct, export, or delete your data. Use the in-app export (Admin → Archive) or contact support@nexteln.com.

Retention & archival

Inactive workspaces (no login for a defined period) are exported to a downloadable archive and the owner is notified; data is retained per your plan and deleted after account closure within a reasonable period.

International transfers, cookies, children

Data may be processed in the regions of our sub-processors. We use only essential cookies for authentication. The Service is not directed to children under 16.
